Persons holding non - pensionable posts - Vacation leave H49 Persons holding posts specifically in Annual Estimates under ' Personal Emoluments other than Fixed Establishment ' prior to 1st January ,1962, may be granted following the introduction of the existing Guilledaud leave conditions on 1 st January,1962,one last period of long leave of 84 days,on conclusion of a tour of three years i . e . in accordance with the pre - Guilledaud conditions but thereafter shall be entitled to only 14 :-

Leave prior to resignation H46 Public Servant who apply for permission to resign their posts maybe granted earned leave as may have accrued to thm , They should give at least one month's notice in writing of their departure on leave prior to resignation.

leave to Public Servant in the Reserve,Guyana Defense Force H41 Public Servants enlisted in the Reserve , Guyana Defense Force , should be released from duty fot training when required , as follows :- (a) on enlistment(5 weeks full time training ). (b) Annually (annual camp or course of instructios in lieu , of ( 10 - 14n) days and additonal training of upto 12 days ).

H32 On completion of his tour of duty a public servant may be granted more vacation leave than is accumaltive for his particular category , if , in respect of a previous tour of service , he had not been granted the full amount of vacation leave for which he was eligible or had been recalled from leave in the public interest .

Additional leave H31 When the Permanent Secretary, Public service Ministry is satisfied that the exigencies of the service do not permit a public servant , who has applied , to proceed on long vacation leave in the calendar year after completion of his tour of duty , he may permit leave beyond the maximum for the particular category to be accumulated .

H42 During periods of training under (a) of Rule H41 salaries and wages shall be paid on the following basis :- Public Servant shall receive either their pay or their army pay , whichever is the greater . Those whose civil payb is greater shall be paid in addition to their military pay ( exclusive of allowances, if any ) so much of their civil pay as wll bring their total emoluments from public funds up to the total of btheir civil pay .
