FXSpotStream recruits UBS alumnus Matthew Fic to lead Americas sales

LiquidityMatch LLC's aggregation service provider FXSpotStream LLC stated that it has hired Matthew K. Fic as its senior vice president and head of Americas sales.

Matthew appointment is leaving UBS ( UBS later) began more than two years, when he served as executive director and eFX sales director at UBS. During his tenure in this position, he was responsible for the sales of asset trading managers and foreign exchange trading services of hedge funds for UBS's customer base, mainly for API customers.

Fic worked at UBS for eight years from 2011 to 2018, and initially joined the bank responsible for eFX sales in North America. Prior to this position, he worked at the bank for more than four years in the early part of his career and worked as a different foreign exchange business analyst from 2001 to 2005.

Prior to this, the experienced foreign exchange trader held a similar position in the broker-neutral technology company FlexTrade, where he served as the head of sales for the company's foreign exchange department for more than five years.

During FlexTrade, he managed the electronic foreign exchange sales team and established relationships with C-level executives, portfolio managers and trading executives in the industry. FlexTrade is designed as a multi-asset platform to provide seller institutions with end-to-end solutions across multiple service desks, transaction methods and regions, and simplifies the transaction process from receiving customer orders to performing analysis after the transaction.

Fic brings nearly two decades of experience to FXSpotStream. He will be responsible for the sales of LiquidityMatch's collective service, which is targeted at corporate treasurers, asset managers, hedge funds, banks and brokers.
