BitCar announces airdrop programme

BitCar is a project which was the world’s first platform that allowed for fractional ownership in collectible exotic cars such as a Ferrari 599 GTO and issued ERC-20 BitCar tokens a few years ago.

Since its inception, the project has achieved complex and difficult milestones, however, due to numerous reasons including insufficient funds and demand for the car linked BitCar tokens, the company announced that it would discontinue the project.

While we achieved many of the milestones in our white paper, ultimately we were probably too early for this innovative concept/technology to be widely adopted. Despite substantial marketing efforts and great decentralized on-chain software, take-up was very low, but in the years to come it maybe that a project such as this will get off the ground. We thank all those that supported the project and thanks to careful management of funds we are now in a position to offer an airdrop to BitCar token holders. The company anticipates that $0.5 to $1 million worth of ETH will be available for the airdrop (depends on ETH price etc.) and will be distributed free-of-charge to holders of BitCar tokens who are eligible to participate and who have notified the company of their interest to participate in the BitCar airdrop programme no later than Dec 15, 2020.

Note in particular, whether you are eligible to participate in the BitCar airdrop programme and that there is also a minimum amount of tokens required to qualify, see the terms for full details. Action is required by eligible participants from the date and time of this announcement up to the latest notification date deadline to participate in the BitCar airdrop programme.

As stated in the terms, only holders of BitCar tokens who (I) are eligible to participate in the BitCar airdrop programme based on the terms and (II) who have validly notified the company of their interest to participate in this BitCar airdrop programme and (III) supplied any further requested information to the satisfaction of the company in its sole and absolute discretion by the notification date, will be eligible to participate in the BitCar airdrop programme and to have the opportunity to receive air dropped ETH (which can only be air dropped at the ETH blockchain address holding their BitCar tokens as seen on the snapshot date of Nov 14, 2020), pursuant thereto.

If you held BitCar tokens as on the snapshot date of Nov 14, 2020, you are strongly advised to apply as soon as possible.
